Published on 19th November 2020

The European Network of Agricultural Journalists (ENAJ) is hosting its first ever webinar on Tuesday 24 November and Guild members are invited to join for free.

It will explore the new Common Agricultural Policy and the Green Deal.

The ENAJ is inviting journalists and communicators from all Guilds and associations to register here.

It begins at 2pm and will run for one hour.

Speakers from DG Agri, Copa Cogeca and others will discuss the CAP, sustainability and the profitability of farming in Europe.

Michael Scanell, top official in the European Commission’s Directorate General for Agriculture and Rural Development (DG Agri) will be the keynote speaker, addressing the theme “Can the new CAP and Green Deal deliver sustainable food at an affordable price and keep farmers profitable in business?”.

Pekka Pesonen, Copa Cogeca general secretary, will the second panellist.

The ENAJ will finalise contributions from further co-speakers shortly.

Participants will have the opportunity to put questions to our panellists during the event.

The event’s  moderator will be Irish journalist Damien O’Reilly. Damien presents Countrywide, the agricultural affairs programme from Ireland’s national television and radio station RTE.

Registered participants will receive a link to take part in the webinar and instructions on how to submit questions.
