Marcello Garbagnoli won the Guild’s 2014 Arable Photography Award, sponsored by DuPont.
Judges said the photo of a tractor and plough was technically very good, with a strong image of the tractor.
They praised the vibrant colours, a good shooting angle and pin-sharp focus – all matched by the sense of concentration emanating from the driver.
Freelance John Eveson was runner-up.
Judges said John’s photo was technically strong, with a composition that works hard to draw the eye to the centre of the image.
Judges were freelance photographer Jonathan Page, Adrian Bell for the Guild and (for their respective categories) award sponsors Neil Beadle, Du Pont and Jonathan Guy, JG Animal Health.
