Notice of 2018 Annual General Meeting

The Guild’s 75th annual general meeting will take place on Thursday, 26 April 2018 at NFU Mutual head office, Tiddington Road, Stratford-upon-Avon, CV37 7BJ.

The AGM will start at 5.30pm followed by a presentation on the forthcoming General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR) from approximately 6.30pm to 8.30pm.

The meeting will receive reports from the directors on the Guild’s activities, events, awards, international connections, overseas travel/study opportunities, and finances. The directors will also outline plans for the rest of the year.

Member elections will be held for the Chairman (Catherine Linch has agreed to stand for election following Ben Briggs’ decision to stand down). The following directors are seeking re-election: Olivia Cooper, Jamie Day, Catherine Linch and Johann Tasker.

Members will also elect their President – Lord Curry of Kirkharle has agreed to stand for a fourth year.

Any Member unable to attend can appoint a proxy to vote on their behalf. A proxy must be registered with the secretary but no more than 48hrs before the meeting. Guild Friends, Retired and Student Members  do not have a vote.

Motions to change the Guild’s Articles of Association or Byelaws that Members wish to put to the meeting must be received in writing by midnight, 26 March.
