Cereals ‘Bangers n Beer’
This annual gathering at Cereals is popular with members attending the event. It is a chance to connect with friends and colleagues over a beer and hot dog at the end of the first day. It is also common for the winners of industry awards to be announced and receive recognition for their efforts and contribution to agricultural journalism.
Non members are welcome to attend but should make their intentions known to the events secretary ahead of the event.

The BGAJ Bangers ‘n’ Beer reception will welcome all at Cereals 2026. The get together will be held at the Press tent from 4pm to 6pm on the first day, June 10th. The venue for Cereals 2026 is Jeremy Clarkson’s Diddly Squat Farm and promises to be memorable. We’ll also find out who has won this year’s Institution of Agricultural Engineers IAgrE Award.

Championed by the Institution of Agricultural Engineers, this year’s IAgrE Award winners will be announced at our Bangers ‘n’ Beer event. Celebrating GAJ members with a passion for writing about innovation in the agriculture, horticulture, forestry, amenity or rural environment sectors, the award is now in its fourteenth year and carries a £1,500 prize pot.
