Join us for sweeping views and fresh country air, the ultimate scenic warm-up to the Harvest Lunch!
Connect, unwind, and take in the iconic Malvern Hills before joining us for our annual Harvest Lunch. Our social walk is a wonderful chance to leave your screen behind, blow away the cobwebs, and stretch your legs along the sweeping ridgelines before we gather in the capital for our annual celebration later in the week.
Here is why you should join us for the trek:
- Unrivalled scenery: Take in panoramic views across several counties—the ultimate, invigorating reset before heading into London.
- Informal connection: Chat, catch up, and build stronger bonds with fellow members in an easy going, pressure-free setting.
- Build an appetite: Set a lively, active tone for the week—a good hike is the perfect warm-up to fully enjoying your Harvest Lunch feast.
- Inclusive pace: Designed to be social first and foremost, the walk accommodates all fitness levels with plenty of stops to take in the views and enjoy good conversation.
Join fellow Guild members and friends for an end-to-end walk across the Malvern Hills. Covering around 15km and summiting all 19 peaks, the full route is expected to take approximately six hours.
The route is accessible for most able walkers, following a well-defined path with plenty of opportunities to stop and enjoy views across Herefordshire and Worcestershire. If the weather is clear, there are also panoramic views towards the Black Country, Shropshire, the Cotswolds and the Bristol Channel.
For those wishing to join for part of the walk, there are multiple locations where the group can be met along the route, with several car parks situated nearby.
We plan to begin the walk at 8:30 at the southern end of the hills at Hollybush, finishing at the northernmost End Hill.
Accommodation options are varied across Malvern, ranging from budget hotels, including Premier Inn, to higher-end hotels, boutique B&Bs and numerous Airbnb properties.
The walk will take place on Saturday, but those arriving on Friday evening are welcome to join us at The Hop Shed Brewery, which offers pop-up food vendors and claims to be the UK’s only brewery based on a hop farm.

While this is a free social walk with no fundraising obligation, any members who wish to make a voluntary contribution to the Guild’s Charitable Trust are very welcome to do so by contacting Johann Tasker.
