The British Guild of Agricultural Journalists’ 2024 Omnia Digital Farming Award, sponsored by Hutchinsons, is open for entries.
The award is open to any Guild member who has a feature published, from September 2023 to September 2024, on the wider use of technologies and digital tools that help to improve productivity, sustainability or profitability across any farm business, arable, livestock, vegetable or horticultural.
The Omnia Precision Farming Award was broadened last year to the Omnia Digital Farming Award to encompass all farming sectors and reflects the development of Omnia from a precision agronomy tool into the next generation Cereals Event.
Oliver Wood, head of Omnia, says:
“The Omnia upgrade offers a set of exciting developments within Omnia allowing for complete paperless record keeping and work management, setting a new standard for farm management technology in the UK. It’s a British system for British farmers and one not currently offered by any other precision software provider,”
Guild member and head of marketing for Hutchinsons, Nick Rainsley says:
“We would encourage any BGAJ member who has had an article published that incorporates any form of digital farming to please submit their articles. We recognise the vital role Guild members play in educating and helping farmers meet their challenges and we look forward to supporting them through the Omnia Digital Farming Award.”
