PR specialist Adrian Bell has been awarded the BGAJ 2022 PR Writer of the Year award.

Adrian scooped the top prize, sponsored by Oxtale founder Amy Jackson, for a feature written for Specialist Chemicals Magazine.

Judges said the well-handled piece showcased his experience and skill in tackling complex science subjects with flair and fluidity.

“The piece flowed brilliantly highlighting the company’s entrepreneurial approach and expertise without being an overt product push,” they added.

“The whole ethos of the piece to return to nature to find solutions to climate change came over confidently and in a compelling way.”

Runner-up was Emily Davies, who was commended for her press release on behalf of Just Farmers, sent to coincide with the publication of the Government’s National Food Strategy White Paper.

The piece laid out a range of producers’ thoughts on how to achieve food security, food affordability and environmental protection, giving journalists instant reaction in an easily digestible format.

Judges said the media’s positive experience with Just Farmers will no doubt drive them back to use this service again.

“The article was well written, structured and sensibly presented using photos, and an enjoyable read,” they added.
