B2B journalist wanted for Dairy Industry Newsletter

Dairy Industry Newsletter is looking for an experienced B2B journalist to help deliver market-leading news, analysis and data for the global dairy sector.

Working remotely, you’ll produce exclusive online content and contribute to our highly regarded fortnightly newsletter, covering everything from markets and trade to company developments and industry trends.

Main responsibilities

  • Produce concise, pithy, insightful daily news briefs and updates for our website, focusing on company news, global trends, trade, markets and prices, company news, M&As and innovations within the dairy chain.
  • Maintain and develop price series and data content for the website.
  • Contribute to an 8-page newsletter published every fortnight, with coverage of key industry topics, interviews, and analysis.
  • Conduct in-depth research and source reliable data to deliver accurate and well-substantiated reporting.
  • Build and maintain relationships with industry stakeholders to secure exclusive insights and commentary.
  • Work independently, managing deadlines and workflow efficiently to meet publication schedules.
  • Collaborate with the editorial team to identify emerging topics and ensure editorial consistency across all platforms.
  • Attendance at conferences and other appropriate events.

 Person specification

  • Proven experience in B2B journalism—ideally within the agri-business or dairy sector.
  • Exceptional writing and editing skills, with the ability to communicate complex subjects succinctly and clearly.
  • High standard of accuracy and fact-checking; a commitment to delivering reliable, trustworthy content.
  • Self-motivated and able to work autonomously, demonstrating initiative and strong organisational skills.
  • Comfortable managing multiple assignments and meeting tight deadlines.
  • Experience with digital content management systems and newsletter platforms is advantageous.
  • May suit a portfolio worker or freelance journalist looking to add a reputable industry title to their roster. Remote working, minimum 4 hours a day, starting 8am GMT.
  • Adobe InDesign experience would be helpful.
