BGAJ Agri-Influence Forum 2023

We’re delighted to announce that the 2023 BGAJ Agri-Influence Forum, which was postponed in April, has been rescheduled for September 14-15, kindly hosted and sponsored by Perkins Engines in Peterborough.

 

Running from 9.30-5pm on 14 September and from 9-2pm on 15 September, the event will comprise an inspiring mixture of speakers and training sessions designed for journalists and agricultural communicators. The programme is as follows:

Thursday 14 September

9.30 Arrive, refreshments
10.00-11.00 Group one: Perkins facility tour Group two: The inside story of the Farmers Weekly podcast with Johann Tasker
12.30-1.30 Lunch
1.30-3.00 Creating an elite mindset: Gareth Timmins, ex-marine and author of ‘Becoming the 0.1%’
3.00-3.30 Break
3.30-5.00 Stream 1: How to bring diversity to a sector which is notoriously un-diverse, with business psychologist Dr Nic Hammarling Stream 2: Crisis management and communications training with Amy Jackson at Oxtale PR
Finish and depart to the Bull Hotel, Peterborough
7.00 Meet at the Brewery Tap at 7.00 for supper at 7.30 (food and some drinks included in the ticket price)

Friday 15 September

9.00 Arrive, refreshments
9.30-11.00 Social media trends, training and advice with ‘Farmer Tom’ Martin, creator of Farmer Time
11.00-11.20 Break
11.30-1.00 Stream 1: Creating, managing and marketing vibrant events, with Rebecca Dawes, JCM Stream 2: Leadership styles, imposter syndrome, and building your skills, with Jane Craigie, JCM
1.00-2.00 Lunch
2.30 Optional farm walk at Tom Martin’s mixed sheep and arable farm, Haddon, Cambridgeshire

Booking details

Book tickets here – £75/person for members (to include lunches and supper). £100/person for non-members (members to get priority). Anyone who booked tickets for the original event will be automatically rolled forward to the new dates – if you can’t attend, please email secretary@gaj.org.uk to arrange a refund.

Delegates can book discounted rooms at the Bull Hotel if required. (If you already booked for the April dates the hotel is happy to roll those forward to September, please contact the hotel to confirm directly).
