Journalists attending the first day of the recent British Pig and Poultry Fair had an opportunity to catch up with colleagues and enjoy some refreshments at a BGAJ networking event hosted by Jake and Maddie Davies of the Poultry Network and sponsored by Rosehill Poultry.
It was a busy, vibrant trade event, and Poultry Network, which is an independent media and events platform for the UK poultry sector, said they were delighted to help create an opportunity for Guild members to pause, catch up and network with businesses from across the poultry sector.
“We were really pleased to be able to support the BGAJ gathering at the British Pig & Poultry Fair. There was a real sense of energy around the event this year, and a lot of positive conversations about where the poultry sector is heading,” said Jake.
“It was lovely to give Guild members and industry colleagues a chance to step away from the bustle of the show, relax for a moment and catch up properly,” he added. “For us, that kind of networking is exactly what Poultry Network is about — helping connect people, share ideas and support the businesses that keep the poultry sector moving.”
The fair was a real success, with a strong turnout and plenty of optimism and positivity across the poultry sector. Conversations throughout the event reflected both the challenges and opportunities facing the industry, from investment and innovation to the practical issues producers are managing every day, including muck management, environmental performance and finding efficient, sustainable solutions on farm.
A big thanks also to Dave Hodson, of Rosehill, for sponsoring the food and drinks. Hopefully, we will be building on the success of this year’s event in 2027.
