Members of the British Guild of Agricultural Journalists are invited to hear what their Guild has planned during 2026 at the 83rd BGAJ annual general meeting.

The meeting, which will be held on Thursday, 26 March at the FarmED centre in Oxfordshire will receive reports from the Chairman and Treasurer, as well as outlines from BGAJ directors for the rest of the year.
The event will take place from 1.30–2.30pm during the Guild’s mobile journalism training day, for which members can book tickets now, and will also provide an opportunity to stand for election to the Guild’s Council and to vote for the next council members.
Member elections will be held as follows:
- Chairman: Ben Pike will stand down after his 2 year tenure and Caroline Stocks has offered to stand
- 3 Directors roles: Those wishing to stand need to be nominated by two current members and these Nominations must be received via email by the secretary before midnight, March 17, 2026. - Honorary Chaplain: Geoff Dodgson has agreed to stand again this year.
Any motions changing the Articles of Association or Byelaws of the Guild that Members wish to put to the meeting must be received in writing by midnight, March 13, 2026.
Any member unable to attend can appoint a proxy to vote on their behalf; a proxy must be registered with the secretary but no more than 48hrs before the meeting. Friends, Retired and Student Members of the Guild do not have a vote.
