The Scottish farming publication Farm North-East, produced by Guild member Eddie Gillanders and his wife Marion, is attracting a growing and more widespread readership.

“At 76 pages, our 52nd issue published in August is the biggest since the magazine was launched in 2004,” says Eddie. “Readership continues to increase due to popular demand and we now welcome readers from the Borders following the extension of our circulation into that area.”

Eddie and Marion’s Agricultural Communications business based at Banchory in Aberdeenshire publishes Farm North-Eastevery two months. It carries news of political issues affecting agriculture in Scotland, and reports on business topics, as well as shows, sales and markets with a strong focus on beef and sheep.

News of the people involved in farming in the area is also prominent and the magazine now has a regular machinery section. It also runs business profiles, mainly covering firms involved on the supply side of the industry.
