Guild member named Editor of the Year

Guild member and Farmers Guardian editor Katie Jones has been named Editor of the Year at the prestigious Association of Online Publishers (AOP) Awards.

The 24th AOP Awards, hosted by comedian Aurie Styla, honoured the digital publishing industry’s top talent at Old Billingsgate in London.

The judges said: “Katie truly understands her audience and her voice comes across to her readers as credible and authentic.

“The judges were hugely impressed with how she has used digital platforms to diversify and grow subscriptions, transforming the Farmers Guardian into a multichannel publication whilst staying true to her readers’ interests.”

Farmers Guardian was also shortlisted for Editorial Team of the Year and Campaign of the Year with its Save Britain’s Family Farm campaign. 
Commenting on the award, Katie said: “I’m delighted and honoured to win this award. I feel privileged to work within the agricultural industry, and I am very also fortunate to work alongside an outstanding team whose talent, professionalism and dedication raisesthe bar every day.

“We look forward to continuing to grow and shape the future of Farmers Guardian.”
