Deadline: Friday 10th January

Preparations are well under way for the Guild’s 2025 Yearbook, edited by Johann Tasker, and your help is needed to ensure it is as accurate as possible.

The Yearbook is an annual record and source of information on Guild activities distributed to all members in February. It contains directories, including member profiles, that need to be checked and updated as necessary.

Member profiles

Please check your member profile in the Yearbook 2024 and online at gaj.org.uk/fmc – the Guild’s Farming Media Centre (FMC).

Does anything need updating?
Do you want to add detail to your profile?
Do you want to add a portrait picture to the online profile?

Then please log-in to your account on the Guild website – note…

  • Your portrait picture and email address for eAlerts are added or changed in the Personal section;
  • Displaying a phone number and/or email address in the FMC is selected in the Business section;
  • Professional interests, services offered, etc, are selected in the Farming Media Centre section.
  • if you have any difficulty logging in or updating, contact subscriptions@gaj.org.uk

Yearbook directories – please email compiler Peter Hill with any updates

Media titles

This is a listing of farming, horticultural and other rural publications, including local and regional newspaper sections and supplements, and broadcasts, podcasts and websites – see your Yearbook 2024 or open a PDF here.

  • Does an existing entry need updating?
  • Is the title you produce or work on included?
  • Are there any titles you are familiar with missing?
  • Does an ‘extinct’ title need removing?

PR & Marketing

This is for agencies and individuals specialising in rural press and public relations, product marketing and brand development, promotional films, videos and podcasts, social media content, etc – see your Yearbook 2024 or open a PDF here.

  • If you offer such services are you listed?
  • Does an existing entry need updating?

Agencies – please note that only Guild members should be included in a team listing; you can check membership status by searching the Farming Media Centre (gaj.org.uk/fmc)

Freelance photographers

This listing is for full-time professional freelance photographers, videographers, qualified photography drone operators – see your Yearbook 2024 or open a PDF here.

  • If you offer such services are you listed?
  • Does an existing entry need updating?
