We are pleased to announce Navaratnam (Theeb) Partheeban as our special guest speaker for the Guild’s Harvest Lunch on Thursday, 12 October.
A farm vet and dairy technical specialist, Theeb has worked in clinical practice, the pharmaceutical industry and taught at the Royal Agricultural University, having also managed a sheep flock and a calf rearing enterprise.
Passionate about diversity and inclusion, Theeb is a Nuffield Scholar examining how Minority Ethnic people are supported and encouraged to join the Agricultural, Farming and Veterinary Sector – and how we can improve this in the UK.
He is also a director of the Oxford Farming Conference.
“We’re really pleased Theeb has agreed to be our guest speaker.
It’s vital that we attract more people from broader backgrounds into farming – we need the skills, ideas and innovation they can bring – and we need to reflect the diversity of the people and society farming feeds.”
