
Applications are now open for the 2026 IFAJ / Alltech Young Leaders Program — a unique international leadership opportunity for agricultural journalists aged 35 and under.
This program is more than an award. It is an immersive leadership experience designed to strengthen professional skills, expand global networks, and support the next generation of agricultural journalism leaders.
What selected Young Leaders receive:
- Participation in the Young Leaders Boot Camp, Croatia (13–15 September 2026)
- Full access to the IFAJ Congress in Osijek, Croatia (16–20 September 2026)
- Complimentary registration, accommodation, and meals (travel not included)
- Leadership training, field visits, and international networking opportunities
Selection process
Each IFAJ member guild may nominate one candidate from its applicant pool for final consideration. An international jury will evaluate candidates based on:
- Professional skills and journalistic achievements
- Leadership potential
- Guild involvement
- Alignment with program objectives
- Ability to fully participate in English
How to apply
- Complete the online application form
- Submit three work samples
- Individual applications will be shared with the respective guild for review
- Guilds may also submit their official nominee via the same form
