Attendees at this year’s BGAJ Harvest Lunch can expect to have their tastebuds delighted in what promises to be a fantastic celebration of British food.
Served in the grand surrounds of Stationers’ Hall in London, the fabulous three-course lunch will follow the Guild’s traditional Harvest Service, which takes place in St Bride’s Church, Fleet Street.
Beginning at 11am on Thursday 12 October, the service of thanksgiving will include hymns from the much-loved choir.
Members will then be able to catch up with friends, colleagues and guests from across the UK at a drinks reception at Stationer’s Hall, which will begin at 12.15pm.
This year’s three-course lunch menu will feature a wide selection of British produce, including:
Starter:
Duo of Gressingham duck: Confit duck rillette, smoked duck breast, chicory salad, orange and fennel dressing
Main:
Herb marinaded fillet of Angus beef: Dauphinoise potato, pumpkin and courgette cassoulet, green beans, port jus
Dessert:
Warm treacle tart: Blackcurrant ice cream, fruit coulis
An alternative selection will be offered to those with special dietary requirements.
Tickets for this year’s flagship BGAJ event are on sale now, with tickets for members costing £80, and £100 for non-members. Attendance at the church service is free-of-charge and does not require a ticket.
Members are encouraged to book their place early, as tickets tend to sell out quickly.
