More racy tales from Africa

Guild member George Macpherson has been letting his imagination run free again with more tales of adventure and love in Africa for his second novel Okavango – Another Life.

The new novel is set in Botswana as the new African nation emerged in the late 1960s. Its central character is Alan Black, a third generation Rhodesian starting his career in Botswana’s Ngamiland, one of the world’s last unspoiled habitats encompassing the vast Okavango Swamps.

“His job is to work with the newly independent Batswana people to achieve higher incomes and a better standard of living from their livestock and crops,” explains George. “He becomes close to an Afrikaner family, whose safari company faces radical challenges, and also to a beautiful African woman.”

Together they experience success in their work and in a passionate relationship. But Alan Black seems inevitably and mysteriously linked with someone else.

“This is African enchantment in the most exotic of settings, in which love challenges racial boundaries breached only by the few,” says George in his final tantalising description.

Both e-books are available to download from Amazon Kindle Store for just £1.48, with three chapters available for free!
