A new Friend of the Guild, Tom Baker, is a freelance photographer who works as Cowbell Pictures, a new business based in Salford, Greater Manchester he formed with co-owner Ian Simpson.
“The business has been set up to provide high quality digital photography to UK and international agribusiness,” says Tom. “We can also provide a comprehensive video production service using skilled personnel with vast experience in all aspects of broadcast media and video production.”
The Cowbell team’s technical expertise is firmly rooted in the exacting demands of modern commercial photography, as evident from the imagery that has been used by Sky HD, the BBC, BMW, British Aerospace, Airbus, Sainsbury’s, Proctor & Gamble, The Landmark Trust, IPC Media, Waitrose, Kellogg’s, ICI, Argos, Littlewoods, Morrisons and Homebase.
“Whether it’s for web content or promotional material for an industry conference, Cowbell Pictures can produce creative imagery that sells,” says Tom. “Ian and I are passionate about the promotion of all aspects of rural life and have strong family ties with Derbyshire farmers.
“From highlighting and explaining the techniques in simple terms of skilled craftsmen such as thatchers, farriers and dry stone wallers, to producing photography for the latest advance in tractor design, milking parlour technology or advances in bio-diversity, we can represent a brand during the shoot, deliver on time and on budget.”
