The agricultural events organisation run by Guild member Andy Newbold has a new name – and a new website – to better reflect its activities.

“For 16 years we traded under the Fusion banner but our web presence has always been as Farm-Smart,” Andy explains. “We thought it was time to bring this confusion to an end, so from now on we are FarmSmart Events, with a brand new look for our website to make the point.”

FarmSmart has a growing portfolio of technical events that combine commercial exhibits with a seminar programme giving information and advice from experts and farmer experience related to the topic of the event. This combination has not only proven a successful formula for farmers and others in the industry; it also provides good copy for Guild members covering the events for their publications and online news portals.

There are five events staged wholly by FarmSmart – UK Grain, Precision Farming, Agricultural Buildings Show (which is being held in Scotland at the Royal Highland Showground for the first time in 2013), Dairy Technology and the Farm Energy Event, which is on December 4 at the Newark Showground.

“These events are designed to help farmers gather information at relevant and convenient times of year,” says Andy. At each one we aim to provide the best content in the best way to the right people. That same convenient access to the right information is behind our new website design.”

In addition, the company helps stage Tillage-Live and Scotgrass working with AEA, the agricultural machinery trade association, helps organise the Nuffield Frank Arden Conference and is the secretariat for the Oxford Farming Conference.

Note: A listing of major shows, technical exhibitions and conferences for the agricultural industry is available on the Guild website under the Events tab.
