  • Job Title: PR & Social Media Manager
  • Reports to: Head of Strategy
  • Purpose: To deliver Social Media, PR (Offline, Online), Influencer and Content Marketing campaigns that achieve or exceed client objectives.

Key Responsibilities:

1. Strategy creation, campaign development, execution and results of all the following campaigns:

  • Organic Social/Influencer
  • PR (Offline/Online)
  • Content Marketing
  • Copywriting

2. Support the Business Development Team with Content/PR pitches and proposals in order to win new business

3. Ensure a smooth deliver of all Content/PR campaigns through the management of a in-house team and freelancer talent

4. Line manages content lead functions within the Hillsgreen business, supporting exceptional talent growth and development

5. Attend client meetings as required to take briefs and present research or creative work

6. Research, plan and create a detailed schedule of activity for each campaign (including PR/content/social media plans)

7. Provide campaign support including compiling accurate and insightful reports and liaising regularly with the clients.

8. Ensure that the team embrace best practice and deploy high-quality solutions

9. Closely monitor all campaign activity, ensuring quality is as expected

10. Produce high-quality content including written and visual, to engage with and influence target audiences for various social media platforms, press releases, thought leadership articles, white papers, newsletters

Critical Success Factors:

  • Achieving / exceeding campaign objectives
  • Delivery of work by the agreed deadlines
  • Communication – Emails to be responded to within 24 hours of receipt, Phone calls to be returned by the end of the same working day
  • Successful development of direct reports
  • Performance Reviews:
  • Monthly 121’s
  • Personal Development Plan (PDP – Annual)

Skills Needed:

  • A minimum of 3 years PR and Content experience
  • A creative mind/out of the box thinking – with a proven track record of producing campaigns that generate results
  • Experience working within a B2B marketing agency is preferred (Experience of B2C would also be an advantage)
  • Drive to build an award winning Content/PR team
  • Proven ability to translate brand and marketing strategy into engaging content
  • Excellent writing and content creation skills across multiple channels including social media, print, white paper, press releases etc
  • The ability to think creatively and strategically, and perform insightful analysis and reporting
  • Broad understanding of social media platforms, channels and content opportunities
  • Strong understanding of digital marketing and optimising content for digital channels
  • Excellent presentation and consultative skills
  • Ability to influence, advise and build relationships with clients, colleagues, journalists, influencers and third-party providers
  • Exceptional organisational skills, and the ability to operate across multiple projects in a fast-moving environment
  • Willingness to seek out new areas for self-development and be proactive to learn new skills

Location and Territory:
Office based at:
First Floor, The Old Barn, Holly House Estate, Middlewich Road, Cranage, Cheshire, CW10 9LT

Hours:

  • 37.5 hours per week
  • Office based, with standard office hours 9am – 5.30pm
  • We do however offer flexibility – we are a family business, so family life is important to us. We work with our team to provide a flexible work environment which works for them and the business where we feel appropriate. We simply ask that at least 3 days per week are office based and that you have agreed “standard hours”

Salary:

  • £26k – £32k

Holidays:

  • 32 days pro rata (including bank holidays)
  • Hillsgreen offices will be closed between the Christmas and New Year period so 3 holidays do need to be allocated to cover this period
