1. How did you hear about the Guild?
From Adrian Bell, whom I met at the World Seed Congress 2024 in Rotterdam, Netherlands.
2. What are you hoping to gain by joining the Guild?
I’m hoping to build strong relationships and network with journalists and fellow communications professionals in the agriculture sector.
3. What professional experience do you have in journalism/PR?
I run a media company called Agritech Digest, a platform dedicated to making agritech and foodtech innovations visible, understood, and celebrated globally. I also host the Agritech Founders Diary Podcast, where I highlight the challenges and successes of agritech founders building amazing companies.
4. Do you hail from a farming background?
Both of my grandparents were farmers, but my parents were not. I actually wish they had been too.
5. If you could farm in any country, which would you choose?
Nigeria or any African country – mainly because of the favourable weather conditions.
6. What is your go-to strategy for staying productive during the workday?
I plan my day ahead using a notepad and make sure to stick to the plan as much as possible.
7. What are your professional goals and aspirations?
My goal is to support agritech and foodtech startups to grow and scale their businesses. I believe empowering agritech innovators ultimately helps farmers produce more efficiently and sustainably, contributing to global food security.
8. What’s something you’re passionate about?
I’m deeply passionate about agriculture. I simply want to see the industry thrive so we can produce more food for the world.
9. What are your hobbies or interests outside of work?
I enjoy reading and travelling. Exploring different parts of the world is something I truly love.
10. What’s your favourite way to spend a weekend?
Spending it with my family. Family is very important to me – I’m definitely a family person.
11. What’s a book, film, or show you’d recommend?
I love business books, so I’d recommend Zero to One by Peter Thiel and Traction by Gino Wickman.
12. What is your favourite holiday destination?
I don’t have one specific destination – I just enjoy exploring new places with my family.
13. Tell us about something you’re proud of accomplishing?
Starting Agritech Digest. Coming from a farming background and successfully transitioning into the media space is something I’m very proud of.
