New Guild member Rebecca Barningham is a native of Worcestershire and lives on a commercial sheep farm near Kempsey with her sheep farmer husband William.
Rebecca’s career started with Midland Shires Farmers as a fertiliser trader after graduating from Harper Adams with a HND in agricultural marketing and business.
Progression through the business and the merger with West Midland Farmers led Rebecca to head up the marketing for retail, agriculture and energy divisions as group marketing manager for Countrywide Farmers.
In August 2012, Rebecca set up her own marketing business, Rural Marketing Solutions.
She said: “Having identified a gap in the market for a rural marketing specialist that is both high quality and affordable, I set up Rural Marketing Solutions to utilise my experience to help businesses target their products and services to the agricultural, equestrian, smallholder and land based industries as well as the rural community.”
A member of the Chartered Institute of Marketing with a post graduate diploma in marketing, Rebecca helps on the farm and, when time allows, competes in triathlons and half marathons.
