Guild member Andrew Kendall reports some welcome wins for the Kendall Communications agency this year, including new clients and success in an annual charity sailing event.

Kendalls were proud winners of the Farm Business Charity Cup at this year’s Food & Farming Charity Regatta in the Solent. The yacht’s crew (pictured from left) comprised Henry Creagh of Kendalls; Lydia Parkin of Novartis Animal Health and chairman of the public affairs committee at Guild livestock award sponsor NOAH; Charles Blessley, marketing manager at Case IH; Andrew Kendall; David Laing of Kendall Laing executive recruitment; and Chris Dodds, executive secretary of the Livestock Auctioneers Association.

A new addition to the Kendall’s client portfolio is ODA (Offre & Demande Agricole), an international agricultural consulting firm that has engaged Kendalls to help promote its business in the UK market.

“ODA was established in France in 1997 and is now European leader in grain market intelligence services to the farming and agri-food sectors,” says Andrew. “The firm helps clients manage market volatility and price risks, using advanced information systems drawing on external information from international sources, as well as real-time crop data from its own farmer network, analysts and research departments throughout the World.”

The agency demonstrated its creative talent at the Cereals Event in June by organising an exhibit by Norfolk-based fertiliser manufacturer Bunn. A centrepiece illuminated display showed eight different fertilisers in their raw state in front of a prominent three-dimensional version of the company’s new logo.

They also helped the company engage with farmers by commissioning a Bunn-branded bottled beer from an award-winning Norfolk brewer, which no doubt went down well with thirsty customers.
