The IFAJ Star Prize reflects the many ways agricultural journalists and communicators reach their audiences around the globe. IFAJ’s contests celebrate excellence in print, photography, audio, video and online media.
Across five categories:
- Innovation
- Sustainability
- Technology
- Trade, economics or global issues
- Rural culture
One entrant will be named IFAJ Star Prize Journalist of the Year.

The IFAJ/Alltech Young Leaders Award is a scholarship towards the cost of attending an IFAJ Congress, hosted by a different country each year. The award includes participating in a unique bootcamp that will provide expert training and feedback through on-site writing or broadcasting assignments.
Members under 35 years old are invited to apply each year.
